SERVICES

Our Sunday morning worship service is at  11 AM (10 AM July/Augu
st).

This service is a time for praising and giving thanks to God, sharing the joys and concerns of our lives, and being renewed by the Word of God through scripture, preaching, sacrament, and song. We are an inclusive, Open and Affirming congregation that welcomes all people, no matter where they are on their faith and life journeys, who seek meaning in their lives and a caring community of others who are willing to accompany them.
Our children and youth join us at the beginning of each worship and then depart for their Sunday School classes after the Pastor's Children's Message.

COMMUNION

On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord's Supper and invite all people to gather at Christ's table. On communion Sundays, our children join us.

We are blessed by our musical heritage–the fine choir enhances our worship. We also value congregational singing and enjoy a diverse mix of hymns and responses

Seasonal worship is offered during Advent, Lent,
and at times of special need.

We start the Lenten season on Ash Wednesday with an evening service & the Imposition of Ashes. (7:30PM February 22, 2012), Holy week (April 1-8 2012) begins with the Palm Sunday service (,then Maunday Thursday with a soup supper followed by a Tenebrae service.  Easter is celebrated with an early morning service (8AM) led by our youth, followed by a breakfast presented by our choir & of course our 11:00 Celebration service.

On the first Sunday in November is a liturgical celebration of the Festival of All Saints. Our church  celebrates (All Saints Sunday) with a “Day of Remembrance” in worship.  Family and church members who have died within the past year will be specially remembered in the liturgy.  Each name will be read, and a chime will be rung.   All the saints who died in previous years may also be included as worshipers come forward to place flowers on the altar in their memory.

On Christmas eve at 11 PM we celebrate the birth of baby Jesus, with Christmas songs, music & scriptures.  The evening ends as the sancuary lights are turned off and each persons candle is lighted and all join with the choir to sing Silent Night.
